Day Ten in Mumbai

Day Ten in Mumbai. We began our implementation phase. I worked more than half of the day with the systems officer of the client on security setting ups. Originally I had feared that he would at some time complain that we should make some break for a tea or something. But he didn't. We worked concentrated more than four hours and was the whole time engaged. At last I break the session. I know that some of our client's employee work until ten o'clock in the evening. So at least in some organizations or companies the said "slowness" of Indians is not true.

CeciliaIn my daily portraits about my team mates I want to talk about Cecilia. Cecilia Alexy comes from IBM Hungary. She is a Supply Manager for IBM Germany, Switzerland and Austria. So she is one of the persons in our backoffice that keeps us with all the stuff we need for our daily work. I guess (I actually didn't ask anyone of us how old they are) she is the youngster among us. Some times one can get the feeling that she needs protection. But indeed she is one of the most brave person I have ever seen. There are moments where you think the crowd and the noise is all too much, but she just need a short time of rest and there comes back her shy smile, and on she goes, again in the crowd and the noise, as if nothing had happend. I mean, everyone know that feeling: It is too much. For that reason you must not go to Mumbai, a very bad project can totally burn you out. But I have never seen someone who can recover in such a short time. And I tell you: No one who joined CSC is a "Warmduscher".

Sometimes when I am tired or not paying attention I would begin to use German words in English sentences. And that always make Cecilia laugh. And then I must laugh too.

Cecilia works with Susan for the Bombey Chamber of Commerce and Industry to develop a concept to encourage more companies to show their social responsibility.

Tag Zehn in Bombay.

Cecilia before the Flora FountainIn meinem täglichen Portrait über meinen Teamkollegen möchte ich heute Cecilia vorstellen.

Cecilia Alexy(茜茜利娅·亚列克西)来自IBM匈牙利。
